New Hampshire took on Vermont in the quarterfinal round, also on Saturday. The Wildcats pulled off a 3-0 shutout, getting 15 saves from freshman goalie Sedona Blair.
The Wildcats are trying to get back to the conference final for the first time since 2018, and capture their first conference win since 2009 - their final of four wins in a row.
Northeastern and New Hampshire played three times during the regular season. The Huskies swept the Wildcats, with wins of 2-1, 3-2, and 4-3. Those second two wins both came in overtime in a home-and-home series during the first weekend of February.
